Hayfever

Hay Fever season is here and we know many of you will be struggling with many of the symptoms that this can cause.

In line with current NHS policy we would encourage you to speak to your local community pharmacist. There are many very effective treatments for Hay Fever available for purchase including Fexofenadine. Often combining treatments like a tablet, a nasal spray and the eye drops can provide better symptoms control. If you have tried consistently using 3 different antihistamines, 2 nasal sprays and the eye drops and are still struggling with your symptoms please contact the surgery to book in for an appointment.

Hay Fever can also affect the control of other conditions such as asthma, if you are having to use your salbutamol inhaler more, or for anyone whose symptoms are particularly severe please contact the surgery.

NHS policy is for self-care first, this means that wherever a suitable product is available it should be purchased by the patient. As such you may find that if you have previously had Hay Fever treatments on prescription that these may be removed from your repeat template.
